Vacation Bible Camp for the Children 5th to 9th Std of Milagres Church was held on 10th & 11th of October 2011, at Milagres School Hall.
There about 60-78 children participated and benefited from this camp.
First day, on 10th October, the camp started with a prayer led by Mrs. Ida Sequeira. The inauguration took place when Sr.Shubha the Superior of Bethany Convent Bendur brought the Word of God in the procession & Fr.Walter D’Mello proclaimed the Word of God and thereafter gave a brief reflection.
Two informative sessions, were arranged for both the days. On the 10th Fr. Deep OCD (Carmel Hill) conducted the sessions on the topic “Praying with the Bible”. It was really marvelous! Children learned the method of praying with the Bible.
Then the children were put into 7 groups for various activities. Various type of quiz conducted by using the latest technology. This was basically to familiarize the children with the Bible.
There were group-wise role plays & skits conducted on Jesus’ Parables, Miracles, and Teachings and of Saints.
After every performance Assistant Parish Priest Fr. Anil gave further understanding on the event. This helped the children to understand the various situations with morals.
Second Day Sr.Shubha, the Superior of Bethany Convent, took a session on the topic “Effective Liturgy”. She explained in detail, the meaning of the liturgy, and also about the importance of holy Eucharist and their involvement in the Holy Eucharist, especially about their dress.
There were Bible action songs and Bible Bank etc. to keep the children active and smart. Various games outdoor and indoor were conducted to boost the zeal. Tasty food was served on both the days to energize them.
Parish Priest Rev. Fr. Walter D’Mello had a intension to teach the children the Word of God in the deeper level. Assistant Parish Priest Rev. Fr. Anil D’Souza carried out this intention with the help of Sr.Shubha, of Bethany Convent, Bendur, the sisters of the Mother Theresa, Prisca Paul & Rose Marion and Mount Rosary Convent Sr.Rosy and also about ten parishioners they are: Mr. Oliver Mascarenhas, Mrs.Lona Pinto, Mrs. Nancy Menezes, Ida Sequeira, Mrs. Nelly Pereira, Mrs. Cynthia, Miss. Rashell Pinto, Miss. Rubeena Pinto, worked hard for it. Such hard work and encouragement of all made this Vacation Bible Camp fruitful and memorial one.
The children, who have attended the camp, really got a precious pearl and those who have not attended are still searching for such one.

Splendid thought!

Would you recommend starting with a free platform like WordPress or go for a paid option? There are so many options out there that I’m completely confused .. Any ideas? Bless you!
thanks for share!
some people say that they would do anything to save their child but i think that bringing a person into the world so they can save someone else is a selfish reason. how would you feel if you found out that your parents only wanted you so that your older sibling could live?. . and imagine spending your childhood having painful procedures no one asked if you wanted to or not. sometimes people should just accept that we can’t control everything in life..
